Advice on trimming GSP please!

My GSP is spreading and I want to trim it back and would like to know how others trim the mat off the rock with minimal damage. I want to be able to give away the extra or put some into my new nano tank so I want to keep it alive when removing it.
Thanks,
John

A lot of times your can use an exacto knife and just cut thru the GSP, I would usually cut 1"sq sections, then slide the knife under the section and lift up, it'll usually come up with minimal damage....Or you can just rip and tear of sections, i've done this as well......GSP is almost imposible to kill, I've torn off sections as small as .25", glued them to a plug and they always recovered and grew.

pics please!!!!!

Here is a close up of them starting to spread . On the right in the large tank shot some on the far right done about 6 months ago. In the center of the tank I have added pieces in the last month, they are spreading and soon the pieces will fill out that area. Look close and you can see pieces that I stuck on larger chucks, that now are growing outwards too, making a look of more depth in the distance perspective. . Oh Found a close shot of that area and added the shot. Just take a scraper to clean off the coralline on a spot first. put a gob of gell on the glass and another gob on your piece and stick them together...... Sometimes snails will knock a piece or two off, but most will stay put and grow.
The next back glass gluing project will be Zoa, Palys and Cloves. I am going to try and cover large areas................Warren
