Advice: tank position

I have been doing some thinking about where my tank is going to go.
Anyway- I have attached a picture of part of my basement to show you what I just came up with.
In the picture, there is a ledge that has a bunch of random stuff on it.
I was thinking that maybe I could just set my tank up on that? (If I put it on this ledge, I would probably get a 75+ tank) It would be centered in between that whole ledge.
1. Do you think this would work
2. What problems could arise from this setup?
3. Any suggestions?

Do you have any way of knowing how much weight that ledge can hold?

you definitely want to find out how much that ledge will hold. Your tank will probably be at least 10 pounds for every gallon, depending on the amount of rock and what is in the tank.

I meant to say this in the first thread-
My dad finished this basement- cement blocks are under the ledge, so it should be okay, right?
Also, to the far right there is a large "closet" where I could house my supplies and stuff..
Could I rig it up so my sump could be in there?
Please give some imput!!

Other than the weight, what about height clearance? How much room between the ledge and the ceiling?
