my girlfriend has kept fish for a while she has a couple of goldfish and one tropical tank, Ive caught the bug and have no decided id like to set up a saltwater tank, mainly because we have a finding nemo obbsession in this flat and id like at least one clownfish lol
anyway I have no clue about this as of yet so can anyome give me general advice on what a saltwater aquariam needs to be run well, what equipment is essential etc and what I can expect to pay to buy the equipment to set one up from scratch?
also id like advice on what types of saltwater fish would be best for a begginer like me id like a couple of clownfish ive been told to get no more then that becasue they tend to fight among thier own specius(is that right?) and id also like some of the other fish from the film(just for my girlfriends sense of humour lol) I think this includes a blue tang(dory) and a moorfish or something like that(gill from the film) but I am aware that a few of them might not be suitable for begginers so I will consider this to, but in general what other fish would you reccomend for a bigginer saltwater aquariam

As for the Finding Nemo fish.
The Porcupine Puffer might cause problems with other fish, but is fairly easy to take care of
The Royal Gramma(Purple and yellow one) will go well with most fish, just not others of the same species.
Regal Tang(Dory) can be a pain and fairly expensive, they are very susceptible to diseases such as Ich.
Moorish Idol(Gill) I wouldnt reccomment this fish for anyone, there is about a 10% success rate in keeping this fish alive, if not lower.
Percula Clown(Nemo) Fairly easy fish to take care of good starter.
I know there are others but I cant remember them. :(
On a side note I would just like to mention that awhile back I won a Finding Nemo grand prize trip for 4 to Australia for a week from a $2.50 box of popsicles

Yes, don't even jump into keeping a saltwater aquarium without reading a book about it. You will save yourself a lot of time and money.
Remember, just be patient with everything!
Also, congrats on the Australia trip! I am quite jealous lol.
