we wnt to local store to get 2 orange clowns...they only had one so we bought it....we want another one...so since this one is new to our tank...should we wait to buy another one or buy another one now so they both will be new to the tank...??
if we buy another one any thing we should look out for or suggestions..for the second orange clown...

If it was me I would of waited and bought 2 at the same time. All clowns are born males and the more dominant one will become a female, so if you bought 2 small clowns, as they matured you would have a pair. Buying 2 at different times you run the risk of getting 2 females and they will fight til one dies. This does not happen all the time but the risk is there. Best thing to do now is to get one smaller than the one you have now or take it back to lfs and get 2 juveniles the same size. This is just my opiniom and i'm sure others will add their .02

I have had success both ways either adding a smaller or adding a larger. If you have a juvenile sometimes it is difficult to find one smaller. Make sure it is the same species as the one you already have or as stated take it back and try to find a pair to introduce at the same time.
