Just got home from work and noticed my overflow got air in it. It flooded the stand again. This is the regaular black press board that most people have. How many times can this happen and me dry it up before problems with the stand?

What size tank is it? We used to have a 30 gallon particle board stand on our old saltwater tank... That thing probably got a good bit of water on it - never flooded, but it got it's share of water, and the only reason I'm not using it now (I'm just now in the process of setting it back up) is because its like 20 years old. I don't trust particle board stands even though ours lasted - i'm going to spend the extra money and get a pine, maybe oak stand.
Back to your question, I don't know how many times this can happen, it just lowers the stability a little each time. You can probably tell how much damage has been done by just looking at it and seeing if it is bowing or anything. Sorry for not being able to help much - my 2 cents

Thanks Pyro, its a 135g its kinda hard to look under it and see if its bowing out. unless you think the bowing and bubbling would be pretty dramatic you cant miss it?

I can't really say... That's a lot of weight - so I would think you'd be able to see it. Ours is slightly bowed now, but its been in 3 different houses, and was in use for about 18 years i'd say.
I'd wait for another's opinion - I can't say :nope: Sorry!

Maybe you could put a few 2x4's under there to brace it. Also if you are getting air bubbles in your U tube then put the intake into a cup or something so that bubbles can't get in there. Instead bubbles would just roll up the side of the cup but not be able to go down into the cup and into your siphon tube.
