Aggie05's 2.5 gallon

Here is my 2.5 which I have had setup for about 9 months now. It is constantly changing. Now I am going to keep LPS corals in it I think. The current residents are a nice pink and blue brain, a green and pink candy cane frag which I am slowly bringing back o health, and a rock with Xenia on it simply because I don't have anywhere else to put it right now. Hopefully in the future I can add a small hammer or frogspawn frag.
The filtration is provided by the sand and live rock, and circulation is a aquaclear mini HOB. There is also a 50 watt tronic heater in the HOB that rarely comes on. Lighting is provided by 2x13watt bookworm lights with a 50/50 bulb and a full actinic bulb.
This is a very stable and healthy tank. I do water changes about every two to three weeks. Because there isn't anything that I feed in the tank it never really needs a water change, other than to put some calcium and other trace elements into the water.

Here is a pic of the inside of the hood I built for it. This is with one bulb in it, I have since added a second in the same manner.

Yeah, it does need more. Like I said it is in the developing stages. I plan on removing the Xenia and then adding a hammer frag, possibly some other LPS coral too. With as much light as there is and as shallow as the tank is, it is great for light demanding stuff.
In the future I want to have a custom tank built that has a very large footprint but is around 10" deep and of course MH lighting and have a bunch of different brains and other LPS corals, but for now this will have to do.
