aggresive emerald crab

hey all,i was wondering if emerald crabs tend to get aggressive i have two and one always seems to go after my clown i have no clue as to removing him or not.my smaller one doesnt bother anyone and he is the size of a nickle,the big one is the size of a quarter. any ideas would be great.

Do you see him actually going at the clown or does he stick his arms out when the clown comes near?

he puts out his arms when the clown comes around

all emeralds do that when something gets too close for comfort. I wouldn't consider that aggression, more self defense (even if its paranoid).

Typical emerald crab move...mine does that when I shine a flashlight on him

thats good to hear cause i do like them alot there cool to watch.my wife sees it as threatening because they are her clowns but im glad thats just a defense.

just a note. we too have emerald crab, but we had two. the big one we took back to store becouse he was grabing the anemones and running with them. the one we have left we have had no problims with. it is also pink in color which is cool. we were told that some of the bigger ones can get a bit nasty at times with moving things around.
