I am just curious, when i clip my seaweed into my tanks my blue and yellow tangs rip it apart so violently that they basically rip it off the clip and then the majority of the seaweed floats through the tank until it hits the overflow and thats it...any suggestions?

fold it like the above person said but after you clip it soak it for about 5 mins first before dropping it in. that way it will loosen the nori and won't rip the whole thing off.

i soak mine in garlic guard b4 i put in to my tank and this way it is softer and it rips ezzzer i have some tangs that would run around with the seaweed in there mouth and the clip was still attached and they would swim around the tank with the other tangs chasing him it is fun to watch them do that but hard to find the clip later

i almost had a tank crash due to this, one of my tangs pulled the seaweed off the clip, and then lost interest, the seaweed then got clogged in my canister filter, and this all happened when i was on vacation, 1 week later i have an all green tank, with really hungry fish. but luckily nothing died.

It doesn't replace seaweed; but I like to use Formula II, which has a lot of greens, in a grid clip made for the gel-based foods. Works well for me.
