aggresive tank, LS vs CC

It sounds like if you use LS in an aggresive tank you still need to syphon it quit often, why not just use CC then? It sounds hard to keep an aggresive tank with LS clean. I am going to have a two puffers, a maroon clown, SFE, and a trigger in a 125, with about 60lbs of LR.
Does it make sense to use sand?

i wouldn't recommend using crushed coral for anything, but i'm sure there's something it's good for.... i agree with only having an inch or two of sand and good water circulation.
