aggressive setup components

Ok everyone I have read numerous post about what can and cant be done with aggressive setups. We've got the 300 reef and the 150 FO. Now were contemplating an aggressive setup. I understand that for sharks we will need a MIN of 300. So thats covered. Im not real concerned about what fish I can mix yet, as I plan to get them one at a time (after cycling) and to research them thoroughly before adding. Most every post I have read has stressed the importance of serious filtration. My question is regarding filtration and lighting. What do you recommend? Large skimmer? Large wet/dry? UV? All of the above? What would be the best combination. As for the lighting, I assume a simple well lit system will be enough? I doubt I'd need anything close to whats on the 300 reef. Right? One last thing, where can I find bamboo shark eggs? Thanks for the help!

If you plan on having sharks you want subdued lighting. Sharks do not appreciate VHO lighting. If you do need to have that sort of lighting you will find your shark in hiding all day long. You are also going to want a very good skimmer, wet/dry, probably also some sort of canister filter (Magnum 350) or something like an Emperor 400 to manage the work load. Another great item to accompany your wet/dry is a fluidized bed filter. I have two $1500 skimmers on my 125g and a $3000 quad skimmer on my 540g. With just cat sharks alone you wont need anything that serious. Any way you look it with aggressive fish and sharks especially the more filtration the better. You may also want to look for some sand sifters that your sharks are unlikely to eat, like horseshoe crabs.
Bamboo cat shark eggs can be found at most online fish stores. They are usually always available between $20-$40.
