Tank size is a 120 gallon
48x18x30
I would like the following:
Dogface puffer
Huma Trigger
Panther Grouper
Yellow Tang
Can anyone recommend any other species that I should look at that would do well.
I'm flexible with the yellow tang and would like a surgeon tang however from what I have read the yellows are easier to keep.
Thank you.

I would get a smaller Sohal and scratch the yellow. I would also consider a Lionfish.

Not often (if ever) that I would disagree with you Campbell, but a Sohal in a 4 foot tank?!? No chance, I would be leary of putting a Sohal in your 180. This is the biggest, baddest Tang there is, I would think a 240, 8 foot tank would be a better home.
I would also scrap the Grouper which will outgrow a 4 foot tank.

Ah yes...I just saw 125g, I didnt read the dimensions

I agree with you KJR, the sohal would not do well in anything less than 72". I retract my statment on the Sohal and think that you should put in an Achillies

Yeah often times people just don't realize just how big Panther groupers get. They can get to about 24-30" long.
I wouldn't suggest getting one unless you have at least a 300-400 gallon tank. For your 120 - I would suggest a smaller grouper - that stays under 14".

Ok, thanks all. I'm glad I asked. I think.

Anyway, I have a couple of follow up questions.
1. Why not the yellow tang. I see alot of them at the LFS however they do not seem to be very popular on this site. Is this because they can become very teritorial?
2. Any other Tangs aside from the Achilles that would do well in this size tank. I would prefer brightly colored fish.
3. Which grouper would you recomend due to the panther getting to large to quick.
Thank you in advance.
