looking set up 135 w/aggr. need ideas, very intrigued by lions :happyfish n-e-ways looking forwARD to feedback

well, what do you want to keep?? its your tank. if you like lions do a large dwarf like an antennata.

volitans and russels do get VERY large though.. i cant evan imagine my volitan or russels in a 135 :scared:

what tank size do u think min. for russ. and vol. lion i think i seen a pic of your tank on here nice lions

thanks for the compliments. i agree with the sizes, you can get a small russles and small volitan but within 6-8 months theyw ill need an upgrase. They grow QUICK!

a 135 is perfectly suitable for a russels lion as they are a bit smaller than a volitan a vol would be ok for some time but will eventually need to be upgraded to a larger tank if housed with many other large species ..try to avoid more aggressive species of fish such as trigger and some wrasses as they will tend to nip at lions fins also some eel species will also do this but not all..puffers and lions dont always do well in the same tank either as puffers are more of an agressive feeder .and lions do not compete well for foods .. if a lion is your first choice for fish stock be sure you have it eating well and adjust any newcommers to its compatability

thanx unleashed really appreciate the advice
most likely going dwarfs for 135 i have a zebra eel now when i get set up i will do as you said thanx again
