Ok I recently bought a piece of rcok with some pulsing xenia on it. Tere are about 3 or 4 small stems. In the bag the kinda fliped over but didnt fall off. One small stem seems to have died. After putting them in a full 24 hours ago there still dark pink or sorta and havent begun pulsing. I put in some invertabret filter feeder food thinking it would help. Plus my blenny keeps land on them, or some of the stems. Whats going wrong with them? Do they just need more time to acclimate and why are they not bright pink?

patience, give them time to adjust to your tank....some corals take WEEKS to adjust....my clowns would swim through my xenia and it didnt affect them...not sure if the blenny will or not...but just leave them in the spot they are...they are filter feeders and dont need food, so don try, you might end up overfeeding your tank then and cause more problems....they love light and med flow...thats what ive found...they may or may not pulse...it doesnt mean they are dying necessarily....just give them time and keep an eye on them...when they start going down hill, then panic. xenia is very hardy, i have xenia living UNDER my rock that has almost no light, but i have the upmost confidence it will crawl out and start growing, like most of my xenia stalks that ive accidently dropped in holes, and climb up to the light.
