Aiptasia Anenome

I see the hitchiker artcle about Aiptasia anenome on here. Should I remove any of these from my tank ? I think I have three or four in my 65gal. I do not have any coral but I do have some invertabrae ( 3crabs and 2 snails). They are neat to look at, but if they are going to hurt my fish or something I will take them out.
HEPL someone that know ! :help: :help: :help:

they tend to overcrowd corals if you let them grow out of hand and just look bad due to overrunning the tank growth wise. they arent really harmful to invertabrae's or fish. I have a rock growing a few but they arent really big enough to take action on yet. In due time they will suffer a horrible death by lethal joe's juice.

Once they get so big can I just tweezer them out or something or do I have to put something in my water. I am always reluctant to put anything in my water in the fear that it may screw something up!

If you try to tweezer or mechanically move them you will likely just assist in spreading them all over your tank. you could try peppermint shrimp although they wont eat large atapsia. Thats the best natural option when it works.

You can also try lemon juice, boiling water, or Joe's Juice. Joe's Juice is what I used and it works great. Just turn off your filtration and then zap it.

I recently used a product called "Stop Aiptasia" that comes with an applicator needle. The stuff worked excellent for me, even when used VERY close to a Toadstool Leather. No more Aiptasia, and the leather is happy as can be.
Before using "Stop Aiptasia", I tried injecting boiling water and lemon juice as mentioned above. The Aiptasia definitely didnt like the stuff, but they just shriveled up and came back. I would say that a sure bet would be Joe's Juice, Stop Aiptasia, or thick Kalkwasser mix.

i persoanly just threw 2 pepermint shrimp in, they cleaned house in a couple weeks, i had about 20 small ones. if urs is to large its not goin anywhere by them though and i hear some dont bother with them at all, but they run less than $10 for one so doesnt really hurt to try.

The Aptasia Stop is awesome. It worked and did not effect fish or water, it took just about 12 hours and I am good to go
thanks again
