Aiptasia, full of them

OK, its a long story but I am back to tending to my tank. During the time I was MIA a ton of these have grown. Small and large. what is the easiest way to get rid of them. I don't have a syringe or joes juice. Some are in real tough spots. Can I buy something that will eat them? What is the easiest way?

I used aiptasia-x, comes with syringe and 2 different kinds of needles. 1 bent and 1 straight. It wirked really well to take care of my aiptasia. just my .02. anyone else feel free to pipe up

Mine won't....I have 5 or 6, and they won't touch them. Not saying none will, but I think it may vary, perhaps in regards to feeding habits. I feed with the intention of making sure my inverts get some as well, so it may be that mine just don't get hungry enough. I have used Joe's Juice works great

I would just get that unless you just want the shrimp....they are cool.

How do you get them (Apt) if they close up real quick when you are close to them?

I dont think joes juice is going to get him. The sad part is I just nuked them and I guess I did not nuke them all.

I had two peppermint shrimp that ate aiptasia, and never touched my feather duster, they actually lived right by it

You can make a kalkwasser paste that is pretty effective at killing them and you can use it in conjunction with the peppermints if you can get some that will eat aiptasia.

I have tried 'Joe's Juice'..little help
Berghias....great but not long lived
Peppermint shrimp...great and have not harmed the feather

Bergias work great as long as you don't have any predators that will feed on them such as peppermint shrimp, large crabs, coral banded shrimp, and fish that prey on invertebrates.
Given the right conditions they will breed very fast and can decimate a large population of aiptasia in a relatively short period of time once established.
