Aiptasia? Killed my condi?

My 55 gal reef tank has newly cycled with 0 ammonia, 0 nitrites, and 20 nitrates. No fish yet but invertebrate cleaner pack and I had 2 condi but one was killed last night
Last night under the lunar lights I noticed some very tiny almost transparent jelly like globs on my orange tree sponge and the globs had very long thin spider web threads floating straight out into the surrounding tank. My condi was starting to move away and had pulled all of its tenticles in but it had sometimes done that at night and come out again int the morning but this morning it looked dead. All of the tenticles were still deflated and it was on its side just rolling with the current a bit.
I now think the thin spider threads from the tiny jelly blobs must have stung my condi to death.
Can someone tell me what these blobs are and how to get rid of them before they kill all my coral and my other condi? I thought maybe they were aiptasia but pictures of aiptasia didn't look like transparent blobs with long spider threads shooting out. This morning I noticed that there are more of these hanging onto my plants and looks like some on the glass of the tank too. Help! What is this?

I don't know what they are but want to susbscribe to your thread so that I can learn.
Also you probably shouldn't have two condi's in a tank that has just "newly cycled".

Interesting.... when I think of Aiptasia, I don't think of them exactly as... blobs... They are more like a stem with tentacles. What you describe sounds an awful lot like a Jelly fish...

I'll try to get a pic but they are very tiny. The threads that come out are very long and apparently sting. These things don't have that snowflake look that I have seen in pics of hydroids though
