Aiptasia... Out!

Just want to share...
I've maintained my one surviving Aiptasia (from the shrimp) till the other day. I left it as it did no harm. Then it took to the roam...got too near a coral, so I yanked the rock it was on (no corals on that one), took it to the sink, poured table salt on it, waited a minute or so, and while wiping away the clump of salt, off came his little bug body, and into the trash.
Oh, well. Thought he might have lasted longer before problems arose.;)

I never had experienced this yet, but from what I read you got rid of it easily. I never heard of the table salt method. One question though, did the whole body just fall off? Or did it come off because of the wiping? I believe if anything would be left, it can came back, and the wiping just may have spread it. Hope not, good luck.

I do beleive the whole body came off. As it was in transit, it wasn't really secure. If it does come back, they will be small for the shrimp to eat. Anyway, we'll see. After I got the salt clump off, I whisked the rock in some clean SW to rinse off some extra salt.
