Aiptasia??

I bought about 53 pounds of LR from my LFS for my new tank (currently cycling). I put it in the tank, then the next morning there was a bunch of these little things on one of the pieces. My cousin said it looked like aiptasia, from a picture I texted him. I'm new at this so I have no idea. I bought some Aiptasia-X today and I just wanted to verify that was indeed what I have.
There are quite a few on this one rock. This one is the largest one, and the only one I could get a clear picture of:

That's what it looks like to me too. Maybe if it is just on this rock you could take it out of your tank and treat it seperatly from the rest of your display.

How so? Just take the rock out and put the Aiptasia-X on it and let it sit for a few hours? Sorry, I'm new at this

It's not necessary to remove a rock and treat with aiptasia-x but it does help make the treatment more effective. I mix up a thin kalkwasser paste and inject it on them while in the tank, but taking rock out and letting the stuff sit on it for an hour or so really concectrates the stuff on them.....I agree too, it looks like aiptasia, a good way to test is to touch it with the end of a dowel or pencil and see it it rapidly dissapears. Aiptasia can deflate and compltely dissapear in seconds. It'll take an hour or more for it to come back fully inflated like it is in the picture.
If it's not aiptasia and some tupe of polyp - it will close up its tentacls but not dissapear.
