I noticed since I upgraded my lights to MH's, I now have gas bubbles forming under my sandbed.
Does anyone know what is causing this.

I think the upgrade from the Hallides is causing the L.S. to exhume some kind of gases.. check your perameters to be on the safe side..

Just did a water test:
Salinity 1.024
Ammonia .25
PH 8.2
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 0
Calcium 500
First time I've seen my ammonia spike ever. Just had a snail dye on me and its time for a water change this week.
Any other thoughts.

cyano algae creates/contains air bubbles. I believe the action of anarobic bacteria do also.
