Air pump or PH for sponge filter in QT?

I just need a quick opinion. Should I use a MJ400 PH (because I have one handy) or use an air pump for the new sponge filter in my 10 gal QT?
Thanks a million :joy:

I'd say the air pump. Will promote the aerobic bacteria much faster and help keep your levels down.

dont use live sand or live rock, they will absorb the medication out of the water and make it useless

I am currently using a sponge filter I got online from A&*els Plus. I like it because its weighted.
I read that you should not have LS in a QT, so I decided to use a small pc of LR to cycle, than I plan to remove it once the sponge filter is populated with bacteria. Other than that I am running the Cascade 80 (cheeeeezy) filter. It's only 10 gallons, I just want to have it when I need it.
TheGrog recommends an air pump, any one else have their opinion?
