If you are running a protein skimmer then you don't need any, if not they you will need some. Good luck

I have a 75 FOWLR with a wet/dry, skimmer, and two powerheads located on either end of the tank breaking the surface of the water. It is and has always been a very healthy tank. The fish seems to like good water movement.

As long as the surface is getting rippled, you should be fine. However, powerheads are needed for circulation. Aeration and circulation are two separate things. HTH--Bob

Aeration with a wet/dry filter is produced by the air/water interface in the bio-ball chamber and additional aeration is not needed.

I would still have a powerhead or a good 10x return you need to have good water movement in sw even inside the tank. I have 10x turn over with my return pump but have alot more including powerheads 4 1200 maxijet. When I had a fowlr it did better with more current. But you can try without first and see.
