Just heard that Delta, which up till now was not charging for baggage is now going to charge you $50 for your 2nd piece of luggage.

I have heard of some airlines overbooking and then asking you to pay extra to guarantee your seats on the flight. talk about messed up. I heard some radio personalities talking about it last week. cant remember the airline though.

I took my 13 year old to the airport today. Printed the ticket on line this morning. We get there and the woman at the counter tells us we have to pay an extra 100 bucks for somebody to hold his hand til he gets to his destination. Then another 100 coming back!! That was for Northwest. They said southwest has a 12 year cut off.. but I didn't know this or I woulda went with them.

Of course the tickets are nonrefundable...

If I were you, I'd just tell the airport he was 16 and teach my son to kick people between the legs... That way, you'd be saving hundreds right off the bat, and you'd be sure your son would get there safely.
It's a win-win!

I remember being 7-8 years old and flying to visit my grandparents... that was back when my parents could go right to the tarmac with me though... what is this world coming to? Now I have to take off my shoes and no longer make any faces at the security otherwise they'll strip search me (I learned this the hard way)

Oh it's not a big deal. A post office visit and a picture from walmart. His grandparents took him (and I) on a cruise last year and we needed passports.
HIs grandparents also bought this plane ticket...minus the extra 100.
But yeah, they won't let you fly without ID now a days.

Delta Airlines?
Once sent me a letter that all my miles were safe forever, because of all the dedication I showed them. I checked them two months ago and my account was 250,000 miles lighter as of Janurary 1st, which means it was empty.
Thanks a lot you bunch of crooks. See if I EVER fly your crooked/broken airline again.
