Albino Algae?

I originally posted this in "Inverts & Plants" but realized I posted it in the wrong forum so here goes. About a week ago this showed up on one of my rocks. It appeared on a white patch that had no algae growth. I just checked it out and it's slowly growing in length not area. These are the first 2 pics of it. They were taken on 10/28/13. I'll upload the next pic so you have an idea of how fast it's growing. Any idea what the heck it is? I've researched it and I haven't found anything close to what this is. It doesn't look white in the pics but to the naked eye, it's definitely white.

Right now all I have are snails and hermits and my readings are 0-0-0.

Looks like a cryptic sponge. Low flow area, lots of good nutrients, it will grow. Totally harmless. Phylum porifera. Read more about sponges, really cool critters
