Algae Growth?

I"m a little confused why I have algae growth at this time. I have a 60 gal. that I just started up and has been running a little over two weeks. I filled it with catalina water I purchased. I have been adding the supplements as directed and when tested, my water comes out with great results. My question is why am I getting this algae growth? It is only on the live rock. It is not in the substrate or even on the acrylic. Is this a normal part of the aquarium cycle? Will this eventually die off and my coralina grow in better. Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Without the persents of chlorine (KILLS FISH) in the water algae grows this is a fact of nature. The live rock has algae and with the proper lighting, heat and the presents of water algae grows. Wait till the tank has be up and running about 8-10 weeks and everything turns brown for what seems like months. This is another new tank thing. Algae is a good thing it means your water is good enough to support the easiest life form. But also realize algae would grow in a mud hole. The easiest way to control algae is to purchase a clean-up crew. This does not remove algae from the tank but does keep it under a little better control. I hope this helps. IMO I think everything is normal.
