Algae in Aquapod

I have a Aquapod 24 gal. and have alot of algae:p I have the orginal lighting and pump, I have added carbon to the fliter media. I have two different kinds of algae, one is a green algae that grows mostly on the glass and looks powdery when I clean it off (and unforunitly(?) it clouds up my water all the time), this kind was really bad for awhile has gotten better but not great. The other algae that has showed up is a green slime algae, I can peel it off in sheets and it grows back quickly(but only grows were the lights are the brightest). Any advice on how to control the aglae and restore my water clarity would be great! Do I need a seriously large clean up crew to help out? and what is best in there??? Thanks so much!!!

sounds like the first one is coralline algae. a good sign that the tank is doing well. unfortunately you have to clean it off the glass. the more often you clean it, the easier it is to keep clean. let it grow on the back and sides if you want.
the second is cyanobacteria. do some searches on it or "cyano", there a few things to get rid of that altogether.

Can you post some pictures, they always help. How often do you feed? What do you feed and what are you feeding? How long do you keep your lights on for? How old are your bulbs in your tank's hood? What are your nitrate and phosphate test results?
