I have a moderate green and red algae outbreak. All paramaters are great and its been ever since i went to t-5s so i have cut back on the time they are being used. But now whats the best way to get rid of what is there now. I feel i have a established cleaning crew, but it must not be enough. Any ideas.

I got a tunzi wave machine. 300.00 but i will have to tell you... i have NO DEAD spots where current doesnt hit. It has helped tremendously. But you can add power heads if you dont have any to help with slow water movement. In your cleaner crew do you have any sally lightfoots? or emerald crabs? I got those along with blue legged crabs and scarlet crabs. They love the algea. Also i used Chemi clean...one dose for 24 hours... waited one day and then did the same again. All my red algea is gone.

How are your Phosphates? Whenever I had algae that was the cause.......also, Mex. Turbo snails are amazing........depending on the size of the tank, put in a few and they will go over all the rock and glass, eating all algae. My sand is kept clean and sifted thanks to my Diamond Goby. He is a world better than any crab or snail...........

yea ive been looking at the diff. snails i could add and have emeralds but no sally, and the phosphates are ok along w/ other paramerters. that is why im thinking its from the lights never had outbreak like this while running pcs. and have numerous phs in the tank. i try to stay away from adding chemicals but i have thought about, ive done it w/ fw tanks and it worked well.
