Hi, I just started my new 24Gal Nano cube and I have a lot of green algae growing on the back of the nanocube wall. They look like grass. Birght in green, small, and not long. I dont have little or almost nothing on the sand, only on the wall of the nanocube and on some places on the rocks. My specs are Nitrite zero, Ammonia zero, Nitrate O, Ph 8.2 and salinity within range. Custom made myself 150Watt MH lighting with 1 36watt 50/50 actinic. It has only been running since Mid December. I have about 18lbs of Live rock. 1 Maroon clown, 1 regular clown and 1 damsel. (I put them from my older 20gal tank) Its been 3 weeks now since Ive put them and they are doing great. If anyone knows why I have green grass looking algae growing on the wall of my nano, it looks nice and it seems like its definetly helping to keep the nitrate and nitrites and ammonia down. It did not grow on the glass , only few near the bottom that I cleaned out.
Thanks for your help.

A new tank is full of nutrients that algea thrives on so once the tank is more mature is should go away. Also check your Phosphate levels.if there to high you'll have some algea.

Thanks for the quick replys. I will wait until it matures. The only thing is, Ive never seen these kind of algae. (Ive had another marine tank for 7months and in the early stages never saw this type of grass looking algae. But anyway, thanks for all your help. I will update you with some pictures next time. The grass looking algae looks really cool when the water hits it, makes it wave as if they are small plants. Im just glad its only growing on the back wall and not on the front glass or everywhere else.
Here is a picture of it.
