algae question

So I have had my reef running for like a month or so now... with 3 scarlet hermits and 5 astrea/turbo snails doing all the cleaning. They have been cleaning a great deal however...
there is this long green algae growing on one of my bottom rocks and some on the sand... I'm not sure what it is... but it seems to get bigger by the day. bright green and grows in groups... its long enough now to sway with the water...
Should I pluck this stuff out right now, or should I wait for my cleaning crew upgrade that I'm getting later this week?... also is this something anything will eat cause it just seems to be growing wild while my snails ignore it?
thanks again

I am researching this hair algae also. I think it is due to low lighting. what type lighting you using... Is there anyone who kicked this annoying algae

well im pretty sure its not due to low lighting... I have 150 watts of HQI MH lighting over a 29 gallon tank that is long rather than deep. I'm sure I could have more lighting but the amount of heat generated and the probability of upgrading the tank in the next few years just didn't seem to make it worth it.
I pulled alot of it out this afternoon... wasn't really that much work. I'm hoping that once I put my sand cleaners & additional rock cleaners in it will put a stop to it all together.
if it gets real bad I might enlist a smaller blenny or something let me know if you come up with anything besides weeding that slows it down... and I'll try to do the same
