algae troubles

For about the last week I have had a miserable algae problem where on a daily basis the entire glass becomes covered in a green haze, i mean every day also. I have recently purchased a new cleaning crew of 10 hermits and 10 snails in hopes that it will help. I have also just bought a protein skimmer. Any ideas or expertise would be great.

Actually having to wipe down the tank glass daily is pretty common. Improving water quality with a skimmer, use of RO water, optimized water circulation is always a good idea.
