Algae tumbler?

I just bought some Chaeto and I will be putting into my tank in an hour. Doing some more research on the web a couple sites have recommended putting it in an "algae tumbler"? Can someone explain what an algae tumbler is?
Thanks,
Chris

Never Heard of it, per se.. But some hoobyists say that chaeto does bettter in an actual tumbling "spinning" motion while free floating, Me myself have great success with just standard lighting and good water flow... good luck.. p.s THIS is all done im my refugium..

I believe they meant to say that Chaeto should have sufficient flow so it can tumble near the sand bed. I have had success with tumbling and without. If you decide not to tumble then just add some more flow through it.

I have noticed Chaeto in two different tanks of mine. One have a lot of flow going through the Chaeto, one doesn't. The one that have more flow going through do better then the one that doesn't.
