algae

i have some yellow polyps and it looks like some brown algae growing at their bases
what should it do
it does look like it is affecting the polyps

get a turkey blastor and squirt the algae off or scrub it off wih a smalllll brush

Turkey baster works good, I use a soft bristle toothbrush on my green star polyps as one little portion always gets a little brown algae on it... not sure why as its the only part of the tank that has any... but every so often I just gently brush it off... all the polyps reopen after awhile.

If you get a bristle tooth brush, get one of the cheap one's at wal-mart - the $0.98 ones. Don't use your old tooth brush!! haha
