I have a 125 gallon tank. I have a uv light, and a wet/dry filter. I have 2 volitan lion fish, one red and one black, 2 eels, one snowflake, one chainling. maroon clown fish, and a banana wrasse. I have red and black algae growing on my coral, and brown on my glass. Is this normal. Ive had the tank for a couple years. Would live rock help, or maybe a protien skimmer.

well i dont know if a protein skimmer would help the algae buyt if you have a 125 you definitely need one! the phospates could be high, or too much lighting.

When was the last time you replaced your lights? This could be your problem. What about the source of your water? If your using RO, when was the last time you replaced your filters (including membrane)?
Welcome to the board and have fun!!
