I just got my first pair of seahorses and ive had them for a week now. They are both eating well but i noticed that there was some green alge like stuff growing on my male. is this ok? if not how could it be treated?

I was reading on another site that this is often common and the horse will get it off themselves.

Seahorses get algae on them like snails do there shells. they move so slowly and so little that algae can easily grow on them wiht proper lighting.
From what i've read it can get bad and if there is too much, deadly. Thats one reason you shouldn't have much lighting in your tank.
what type of lighting do you have? i would just keep the lights off a bit more then usually till the algae is gone.

im not too shure what they are but they are the standard lights on the biocube. i also have several corals in the tank so i cant shut off the lights during the day
