my tank has been up and running almost 1 yr now and up untill about 2 months ago there use to be alot more green alge growing on the glass i have noticed that it has been sig reduced by almost 50% now is this normal and ok or does it mean something in my tank is wrong?

hard telling with out some more info on what you have in your tank, maybe you have gotten some new fish or invert that eats up the algae I dont know
have your tank parameters changed
hae you changed anything latley

no nothing has changed no new additions in 4 months , all tank parameters are -0- i did make a change of the lighting period prob about 4 months ago when i was living with some crazy girl who did not like a/c and so the lights are only on for 6 hours a day in the process now of bringing them back up to 12 hours a day since i have the house a/c set to 73 now, and don't have to worry about the heat, you think the 8 month old pc bulbs are maybe wearing out combined with the lower lighting periods could be the reason?
