its all over my tank lol , but i have a question wut is the best way to clean the top of ur sand bed?? i just mixed the sand around a bit , wut should i do??

Since you mention cukes.....I have never had a sand sifting one......anyone have pics, and what exactly have they done for you? Are they hardy/long lived? toxins? Any other info? I may be interested in one, but have very little knowledge on them....thanks...cypress, sorry, I'm not trying to steal the thread. :) What kind of algae is on your sandbed?

If it's a reef you're trying to maintain,DO NOT mix the sand around. You will destroy the natural filtration system you are trying to create.

Test for nitrate and phosphate - and report your findings here.
Nitrate + phosphates + lighting = algae.

its niTRATE you need to test for. Phosphates is also what you need to test for, and perhaps silicates. pH is a little low...was that taken during the day?

well you need nitrate tester. So what were the results??! lol.
Let us know the results, what water you are using etc.
