I was adding water today and notice there was a thin film on the surface. After looking at it some more it was little algea blooms. What would cause this? What can I do to get rid of it. This is in my 55 gal reef tank.
Is the water removed from the surface. You might have a dead spot. Try adjusting the power heads to eliminate dead spots on the surface. Then the skimmer can get it from there. HTH
