[the new guy]

I have been setting up my tank now for over a month and suddenly I have an explosion of brown alge in it. I think I know why (my tem is around 81 with no heater) I was just wondering what to do to get rid of it? I was going to try and vacuum the gravel but I still need to wait another week before doing my recommended 1st water change. Any suggestions??
PS I tried to search this topic but the BB wouldnt let me. Thanks

This is a stage of your cycle. We all have had it and in time it will go away on its own. Not to worry your doing fine be patient your almost where you want to be.

Just make sure to clean it. Don't let it get out of hand. Also, don't do a water change until your cycle has finished.

Its the diatom stage. Now is the time to add a clean up crew. Soon your cycle will be done.
