All about ich control

Ok I'm getting started with a new 46 bow saltwater tank running about two weeks with live rock, mag350 filter, 2 flow masters on each side of tank for flow control and one large heater in center... (Daughter set me up)... I have 10 snails, 2 cleaner shrip and a skunk banded crab very small... Have introduced 3 new fish that were fine for the 3rd week but started geeting the spots ans the cleaner shrip are busy picking off parasites... I know I should have started a treatment tank for the new fish and future sick fish before I put them into the main tank... So... I have the 20 gal treatment tank up and running... with a marium 350 filter (overkill but is backup for main tank if ever needed).
:notsure: Question 1: Does ich continue to live in the main tank with the live rock and invertbreas (no fish)?
:notsure: Question2: Will the ich die after the fish are removed from the tank? If so how long will it take for the ich to die?
:help: Question3: I'm using coper in the 20gal treatment tank no sand or rock to get rid of the ich and other things that may be present... Is this the right way to treat ich and for how long shoul the fish stay in the treatment tank befor returning to main tank...
Help me get started right

First, a new tank normally needs about 4 to 6 weeks to cycle befor its ready for fish, Dont know how you cycled it or if your useing fish to cycle or what species of of fish.
Q1, some people say yes and some say no, IMO yes
Q2, if you say no then it takes around a month ( not exactly sure ) for a tank to sit fallow for it to finish it life cycle
Q3, depends on the fish. Copper will kill some fish species and for those you should treat with hypo and that should be 6 weeks. JMO
