went to an auct-ion this morning,
bought a 75 (my future sump
) and a 55.
with those i got-
about 15lbs base rock (some will be pretty nice LR)
5 large glass heaters
2 prizm skimmers
1 aquarium systems skimmer
2 ehiem canister filters
2 water filters (look like RO canisters, but arent)
2 double HOB filters
1 single HOB filter
1 full bag of filter floss
6 powerheads
1 vaccuum / syphon
1 hydrometer
1 thermometer
1 food clip
1 jar of kalkwasser
5 bottles of omega one food
1 pack of "seaweed salad"
1 bottle chlorine remover
1 jar of aquarium systems ph & alk buffer
2 bottles of genesis
5 air pumps
2 jugs of cycle
about 30 different tests
1 really long algae scrubber thing
a box of ancient SW books
some tacky FW decor
a small air compressor the tanks were hooked up to
& assorted other odds and ends
a lot of it is crap, but i think i did pretty well.

You did score didn't you!
Just be sure to clean them really, really good. You didn't get any copper with the stuff that you got, so it's likely they didn't use any in the tanks. But since you don't know for sure.......

WOW! You hit the jackpot!! What are you going to do with all that stuff now? If you don't want some of it, I'll be more than happy to take some of the stuff.

ill get pics later, im gonna clean it all up today. it was weird, when i was pulling the LR out of the tank i found a chicken bone, all covered in algae!
i guess they just took the fish out of the tanks and drained them, because there were a ton of really big, dead snails in the bottom of the SW tank. it sucked. the guy must have had a reef too because there a bunch of LPS skeletons in the tank but they dont have algae on them, like they died recently.
i think he fed the tank earthworms...
does aquarium systems make any skimmers that are actually decent, like, not the seaclone? haha i havent ID'd it yet, and i was hoping it wasnt a piece of crap. i know that prizms are. also, those ehiem canisters look really nice! anyone know if those are decent?

I don't think Aquariums Systems makes good skimmers, and if they do I haven't seen them. Eheim canisters are one of the better ones, next to Fluval IMO.
