All-Glass Twin-Flow Overflow System ??

Will purchase a 90 Gallon All-Glass Aquarium today and saw the Twin-Flow System that they have. It draws water up from the bottom of the tank as well as the top. I know this sounds stupid, but does it draw Southdown sand up as well? Is this a good system? What do other people think that have reef tanks?

I have one of these systems in my 75gal reef and have to say that it is the best overflow design on the market. I do have a live sand bed, not south down, and I have never had a problem with the sand bed and the overflow.

No, it won't draw up sand. The holes that are lower in the tank are higher than the sand level. If your sand level is as high as the holes, it would clog up with sand. I think it's best to pull water from the surface anyway, since that is where the film of pollutants is.
