It says that this item needs to go into a GFCI outlet. Is that true? I have one of those strip plug in things with the red button that you can plug in up to 6 or 7 outlets that I use on my aquariums. Can I plug it into one of theses strip things or does it HAVE to be a GFCI outlet.
Also, It says it has to be over a glass covered aquarium. I see alot of these over water in aquariums.
HELP!

many people hv the nova pro including me. i am very happy with it. its a decent t5 fixture if u place ur corals and inverts accordingly. as with gfci outlet, sounds like u hv it if the outlet has the reset button on it. if not, purchase a gfci power strips and plug in all of ur aquarium equipments.

You can just get one GFCI outlet that you can plug into your electrical outlet. Those seem to work pretty well, but you absolutely can not go over the amperage at all.
I highly recommend the $15 GFCI outlets that you have to replace your wall electrical outlet with. They are much more reliable.
