almost screwed up!!!!

i have a new pink tip anemone thats been doing fine, but this morning i went down to the tank and it looked really really bad, like someone put a golf ball sized lump of spaghetti in the tank. i had to run out to do some errands, when i came back it looked normal!! i was all set to pull it out of the tank. can any body tell me why this happened? kinda new to the reef thing, i have a lot to learn Thanks.

They expand and retract all the time. Its very normal for them to shrivel up for a while.. they will plump back on in no time.. it freaked me out at first as well!
I THINK, but dont quote me on this.. that I read that is them growing.. by retracting and then expanding back out... could be wrong though.
However its normal. so dont worry!
