i got a 125g with a uv, wetdry sump, 2 overflows 100 lbs of live sand and like 60lbs of live rock and a flame angel, if you guys could be so kind to help me make a "nice, colorful, but hardy tank, it would be most helpful
hows this sound in order of introducing too
1.flame angel(already got it)
2.black percula
3.yellow coris
4.sailfin tang
5 cleaner wrasse
6.hippo tang
7. royal grmma
8.blue starfish
Well if we can assume that your tank is already cycled and your water levels are perfect. AND you ALREADY have a cleaning crew.. shirmps, crabs, snails so-forth.
I would add the starfish now.. no harm done..
I don't know the size of your selected fish.. To kind of get an idea of the load (waste) but for example if the 2 tangs are nice size, I would add both of them at the same time. wait 3 or so days with normal feeding settings and re-check the water levels again.. Gauge how the waste and load is and then add the percula & coris,
wait 3 days same scenario.
Then add the cleaner wrasse and gramma. Cleaner wrasse will need fish to clean of course. So I would surely add him last.
You raise the probability for parasites on the tangs if all fish are added at once. Not saying that they would not get them anyway.. but you get where I’m going.
The 3 to 4 days between introductions also gives you a great window to watch for ick introduced by stress. Knowing the 21 day life cycle but i'm referring to the confirmation of ick in retrospect to a new system, new environment for the fish.
