ALWAYS check before you buy a new fish

I was at my lfs. I saw this totally cool fish a flying gurnard. It was about 1 1/2" long and looked really cool. I have heard the guy working there today give bad advice so I came home and researched it. These things grow to up to 18" long and eat crabs and shrimp. If I had done, like I have in the past, bought it right on the spot I would have had a monster in my 60 gallon tank.
For all of you new to saltwater and to this site, I will say again. Research before you buy.
Just thought I would pass along my situation.

Glad you didn't. That would be pretty bad. I just looked it up on the net and this is what it said. They feed on crustaceans, clams and small fishes

Just thought I would bump this up once so that all the newbies will learn to always check on live stock before purchasing.

I was told my my lfs that I could put a queen angel in my 55 tank with a coral beauty angel, foxface, wrasse, and trigger. Luckily I knew better but for the people that don't, PLEASE research before you buy to spare some lives.
