I'm not sure if my male clown is small enough to fit in my new lions mouth. What do you guys think? He didn't eat anything while he was in my friends reef tank. But in my tank, well let's just say 2 small chromis are missing at this point.
Here are some shots...

This picture scares me-

just watch, see if he perches closer to them at all, if he does then be worried. ill nevr forget the time i had my second lion (first one died due to poor shipping to lfs) i had him in w/ a cute lil goby, i think it was a clown. and the lionfish went right up next to the goby and i said "aw, theyre friends..." GULP :scared: :scared: :scared: lets just say i learned not to keep lions w/ small fish...

I know, I like that last pic also. But do you guys think my smaller clown could fit in the lions mouth already? At first I thought he couldn't, till I read from some post that a lion can eat a fish 1/3 of its size.

I would be worried and consider that clown gone and if not soon, once the lion puts on an inch or so. Just last week I watched my Radiata attack and swallow a sally lightfoot crab 3/4 his size! I think I know why my hermits crabs are all empty shells....

Ya, he's a goner. j/k. Hopefully not. My lion ate (tried to eat) a bangaii cardinal 1/3 his own size. My clowns host mushrooms and a featherduster and the lion hangs out around them. The clowns know to watch out for any close manuevers. Ha!
Good Luck, Barry

Thanks everyone. I'm just worried because it took me a while to train my paired up clowns to host their anemone and I don't want to go through that again.
But anyway after school today I went to my lfs to buy another chromis to accompany the last one I had. I bought a bigger one this time to make sure the lion won't eat it as quick as the other ones. Well I got home and I couldn't find my last small chromis. So I figure my lion got hungry this morning and had a nice filet chromis for breakfast.
One of the workers from the pet store I talked to said that chromises are easily eaten by predator/bigger fishes because they're probably the most stupid small fish. He said that chromis don't watch out for predators and would actually swim in front of their mouths. Is this true?
