hi everyone jus want to no if im ready to start a FOWLR
so far i have
1 50gallon tank
1 emperor 400
60lbs of LR
100watt heater (is this good or do i need a different one)
2 PH (120GPH) is this good or do i need different ones)
so wat do u think????
PS a few questions
which test kits do i need?
How much LS do i need?
How much salt mix will i need?

In the Instant Ocean brand of salt mix, it's 1/2 a cup for every gallon. I'd get the big pour-tub (about $15).
All sand will turn live eventually with live rock. But they say you need 1 1/2 - 2 lbs for every gallon in your tank.

I don't know much about your pH.
Personally, I wouldn't buy 100 lbs of LS. I'd buy maybe 30 or 50. Mix it in with dead sand.
