Am I supposed to stir up my L/S?

This just occurred to me..do I stir up my live sand so it doesnt get packed down?
I did a water change today and wondered if I was supposed to mix it up a little!

hey i have a 90 gal reef tank and its been running fine for about a yr now and as far as i know, just leave the live rock alone and it'll be fine

Unless you have things in your tank,like burrowing stars that stir the sand for you it is a good idea to stir the sand a little.I bought two burrowing sun stars from this sight that are really good workers. It is also a good idea to every once in a while take a small powerhead and blow any junk off of the live rock.
