Amenome Eat my clown

My Green carpet amenome ate my female percula clown :(
She was in the tank for a month and doing fine and now she's gone....I so Sad!!!
Why would the anemone do that? it gets feed every 9 days or so....

thats the carpet nature it will eat fish. thats all the is to it when it gets hungry and the fish is in its tenticals it just closes up and walla there a meal. sorry to hear about you clown though.not a good choice of an anemone IMO

Imo you did not feed it enough I feed mine a live fish every 3 days and filter feeding invert food every 5 days it grew huge and was extremely happy and healthy and never ate my clowhad it for almost a year to it died because i never feed it for a week and a half was on vacation and had someone lined up to feed it but they said it went to the back of the tank and they could not get to it.

Ive heard bad things about carpet anemones. I heard that they move around alot, and are very destuctive. i.e. knocking over things. ALso, i heard they love to eat fish, regardless of when they are fed. jsut IMO, but i agree with MichaelTX

a carpet, as mentined will eat pretty much anything esp if it is hungry
and I bet that one was extremely famished. Carpets should, JMO, be fed every 2 to 3 days MAXIMUM. I know after 4 days, ours would definitely look for food
