Amiracle filter

Has anyone used the Amiracle filter with the protein skimmer built in. The filter hangs on the back of the tank and is a wet,dry system. I have a 55 gallon tank getting ready to switch from tropicals to marine. In my area marine outlets are limited they seem to recommend this setup. What filter setup do you recommend for fish only setup? Thanks

I would be wary of any aquaria product with the word "miracle" associated with it. Just my 0.02.
Sorry I can't be of more help, but at least this will bump you back up.

for a 55, i would just get a prizm skimmer, or if you want ot spend a little xtra, a bak pak by cpr,
with a skimmer, and the use of a dsb, you need no filter, especially a wet dry
americle makes good trickle filters, IMO, an d has been around for a wihle, but their skimmers, IMO, are not nearly as reliable, i kinda do agree with teh logic of the name, it does sound kinda fishy(sorry for the pun), but they are an established company with a good rep in trickle filters
