Ammonia & cycling

Alright, I've conceded that I added fish too quickly to my 75 gallon tank (75 lbs live rock, 80 lbs LS, Protein Skimmer, assorted corals, 2 small lions, 2 damsels, 2 percula clowns), but you live and learn, especially when you listen to people at LFS.
My problem is that I can't get my ammonia to go below .25. Do I leave it high and let the cycle continue? Or do I do 10-15% weekly water changes. If I do the changes will it break or delay the cycle?
Please help

doing water changes will set back your cycle,
which may also be hard on your fish
but not doing them, your ammonia and nitrites spiking could also kill your fish
you are probably going to loose some stock anyhow, but maybe you can save the coral and take it and some fish back, for credit, until your cycle completes
it's kinda the damned if you do, damned if you don't syndrome
